You will be assigned one character from The Great Gatsby. You must do the following from your character's point of view:
1. Update his or her "Status" as if it's on the character's Facebook Profile Page.
2. Get a profile picture for your character.
3. Choose a symbol to represent your character, and find a picture.
4. Background information for your character.
5. Any extras, like groups, presents, etc.
Once you've done this, you will review the statuses of the other characters. Then, during the next class period, each group member should respond to the other characters' status messages by writing on their "Facebook Wall" (simply click on the discussion tab above the character's page and respond there).
Keep checking your character's "Facebook Wall" and respond to anything you see fit. Have fun and be creative! You will receive points based on how often you respond, and how thoroughly. *Remember to stay in character throughout the assignment! Respond how the character really would, based on what we've read so far.
*You will receive credit for thoughtful responses to #'s 1 through 4. Each category must come from a different member of the group (I will check this via the page history). In addition, you will receive participation points for any messages you respond back to on your character's wall. Total points=20 (5 max per category, plus extra points for extra items). Each individual will also receive 5 points for thorough facebook wall posts.
